2014: Our Year In Review

Just 11 months ago, we celebrated our 1 year anniversary. If you have been following the P.E.R.K. journey, then you have been privy to some of our greatest challenges and triumphs as a small business. Through it all, our mission is unwavering- to provide sustainable services that foster growth for both individuals and organizations. In 2014, we did just that. It is with great pleasure that we share some of our favorite highlights of the year:

January- We celebrate our 1 year anniversary in Bladensburg, Maryland. Proceeds from the event benefit our NextGen Scholarship Program, and local partners, LDI Africa.

February- Arlington County Public Schools begins to offer our signature “Me, Myself & I” series through the adult education program. By December 2014, we offered 16 classes to adult learners in the Washington DC metropolitan area.

March- We launch the NextGen Scholarship Program. Over 80 students around the world apply for the $1,000 scholarship.

April- We move our central office location to Bethesda, Maryland.

August- Andrena is selected for the Hope of Africa Leader’s Award.

October- The 2nd annual Embracing YOU Women’s Conference takes place in Maryland.
-We also announce the inaugural winner of the NextGen Scholarship Program-Ivan Reimers.

November- The release of Andrena’s first full-length novel, The Long Way Home, is announced by Tate Publishing. The novel will be available around the country in January 2015.

December- We complete the last of over 40 personal & professional development workshops facilitated for women
